Abbeyspeedway Racing Circuit
Racing around the Abbeyspeedway circuit excites the drivers and
spurs them on to attain perfection in racing techniques and skills.
Racing Circuit
Design
The Abbeyspeedway track design was researched
from proven track concepts in Europe initially, A design was then
adapted to suit our landscape and specifications.
The track (8 meters x 850 meters) consists
of an ash felt surface that ensures supurb road holding for the
karts during mixed weather conditions.
The track contains two hairpin bends leading
towards a horseshoe turn enabling the driver to sweep at full speed
around the bend.
There are also a number of straights
that allow the enthusiastic drivers to open up at full speed.
Computerised
system
The computerised system is used to monitor the performance of the
racers. It conducts statistical analysis in relation to each drivers
speed and performance.
